The book provides different practice math samples. All the questions are clear and have brief explanations in the back. The front of the book gives you guidance on how to connect on the internet to obtain more detailed video explanations and even more practice questions. Highly recommend to anyone who wants more practice on high school admissions test.

This book is good for those who want to go beyond the average math problem

Great book with excellent questions. Really helped my daughter get the practice she needs.

I was very interested in the book because more practice problems are always good.There are some flaws that I see after solving through around 200 of these questions.1. Some typos and formatting errors are to be expected -- but when answer choices are wrong, it throws everything into chaos as I need to double check every question and answers2. Unnecessarily hard questions -- if you compare some of the "difficult" questions in this book with the official SHSAT handbook problem released by the NYC Department of Education, you'll see the book covers advanced concepts such as tedious multi-step calculations or topics such as chords that were/probably will NEVER be on the SHSAT3. Being picky here but formatting issues such as the cartoonish font and the answer keys being plastered on the same page as the question sets (this book has at least 20 pages devoted to advertisement to sign up for their online services and purchase the other books)Again, I am not a fan of "over-prepping" by tackling unnecessarily hard questions. This will confuse the students and ultimately waste time tackling questions that are not even faithful to the real SHSAT. This seems to be the trend with other math SHSAT workbooks however; the practice tests with the starry background, if I recall correctly, are also notoriously hard and difficult.

This book is a must have for anyone preparing for Shsat. The book is divided into weeks and days with each week focusing on different math topic. Not only does it have many questions with clear concise explanations, it also give you a link to access detailed video explanations and even more practice questions! Highly recommend!

I was super excited to buy this book. THe more practice the better, I say. But only if the practice is good. This book has so many mistakes of all kinds -- formatting, typos, but most egregiously, wrong answers. I haven't even gone through the whole book but I'm already giving up on it. Total waste of time and money. YOu get what you pay for, I guess.

I am very pleased with this book. We got it in school to prepare for the SHSAT over summer. So far did 100 questions and happy with the content. Book structure is simple and easy to understand. It divided into Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Probability and Statistics. Each topic divided more into smaller topics and each has mixed challenge questions. If you want to ace child's skills and be comfortable with math definitely this book is for you. Highly recommend for daily practices. I will buy other books by ArgoPrep. Also very important is that each question has video explanations and gives additional discount to comprehensive online learning system.

Useful book for independent prep or extra practice.
